Some airlines offered complimentary cocktails, comfortable seats, and friendly service. Others offered all of that, plus a suspiciously close relationship with the Central Intelligence Agency.

Founded by General Claire Chennault and Whiting Willauer in 1946, Civil Air Transport was an airline with a rather unconventional business model. By the 1950s, it was operating as a CIA proprietary, flying commercial passengers when it wasn't busy supporting covert operations, supplying friendly forces, and making deliveries that didn't always appear on the manifest.

This vintage-inspired design celebrates CAT's gloriously improbable aviation history, featuring a 1950s advertisement for the Convair 880 Mandarin Jet—a reminder of an era when the line between commercial aviation and clandestine logistics was occasionally just a matter of paperwork.
